Privacy Policy
What we collect when you reach out, why we collect it, and who sees it. Short version: we use your information only to help connect you with the right support, and we never sell it.

Who we are
Gender Harmony Institute, Inc. (“GHI,” “we,” “us”) is a nonprofit coordination and referral service. We help individuals and families find independent licensed therapists, offer a free intake conversation, and provide non-clinical parent coaching.
We are not a clinic and do not provide therapy or medical care. Therapy is provided by independent clinicians under their own licenses. When you begin working with a therapist, that therapist is responsible for your treatment records and will give you their own privacy notice.
This policy covers information collected through this website (genderharmony.institute) and through email with us.
What we collect
- What you send us. Your name, email address, and anything you choose to tell us in an email or through our contact form — for example, who the support is for, your state, and what you’re looking for.
- What you share during intake. Notes from your intake conversation that help us find a good therapist match.
- Donations. Donations are processed by PayPal. We receive your name, email, and donation amount; we never see your card or bank details.
- Basic website data. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We use it only to keep the site working and secure.
Please share only what you’re comfortable with. You never need to send medical records or detailed health history to reach us.
How we use it
- To reply to you and schedule your intake conversation.
- To search for and recommend therapists who fit your needs, values, and state.
- To provide parent coaching you request.
- To send donation receipts.
- To keep this website running and secure.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- A therapist you choose. We share details with a recommended therapist only with your permission, and only what’s needed to make the connection.
- Service providers that help us operate, such as our email provider, our website host, our contact-form service, and PayPal. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
- When the law requires it, or when we believe someone is in immediate danger.
How we protect it
Only the GHI staff who need your information to help you can see it. Email and online forms are convenient but not perfectly secure, which is another reason to share only what you’re comfortable with until you’re working with a therapist.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Just email info@genderharmony.institute.
